Composition
KEM PR-5840 is a product of appropriate Nonionic surfactants
in petroleum solvent. KEM PR-5840 is basically a detergent substance that joins
little bubbles into big ones. By this procedure big bubbles are less stable, and
are releasing their trapped gas easier than small ones.
KEM PR-5840 is suitable for middle to high temperature
refinery operations.

SUGGESTED APPLICATIONS As antifoaming agent in
absorption/extraction processes, resin, latex, distillations, paint systems and
petroleum processing.
Suggested dosage levels
The recommended use levels depend on the specific application
but a starting point would be
5-200 ppm’s. The product has shown good performance in high
temperature related processes, such as, rendering and defeathering.
Packaging
KEM PR-5840 is packed in 205 kg (net) PE drums, and 1025 kg
(net) PE containers.
Handling precautions
Flammable irritating liquid. Gloves & goggles recommended
for handling.
Before use review the Material Safety Data Sheet for further
information.
The product should be kept from freezing. The KEM PR-5840
should be stored at
temperatures lower than 30°C. When the temperature exceeds
35°C the KEM PR-5840 can split into two layers.
The product will go into solution again when cooled down to
30°C and stirred. This can be done without loss of activity.
